Our Rooms & Suites

Bedrooms at Greenways are intended to be a true haven. Each room offers a comfortable bed, quality furnishings and space to add personal items such as photographs, artwork and treasured ornaments. Soft décor and practical layouts support both rest and independence, with staff on hand to assist while still respecting privacy and personal routines.

Residents are encouraged to see their bedroom as their own secure base within the wider home. It is a place to rest, read, listen to music or welcome visitors in a quieter setting. For those receiving Nursing, Dementia or Palliative Care, the room becomes an important anchor, where tailored support can be provided in surroundings that feel familiar and gentle.

Activities Programme

Our varied activities programme makes up a huge part of life here at Greenways. We understand how important it is for residents’ sense of identity to be able to continue doing the things they love, so our schedule is carefully tailored around residents’ existing hobbies and interests. We also offer the opportunity to try something new, from creative art and music to gentle exercise and games. Some of our favourite sessions even involve our local community, including wellbeing walks in the local area, pet therapy and lively visits from nearby nursery schools. As part of our holistic and person-centred approach to care, all our activities are thoughtfully designed to promote physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

Private Gardens

Greenways benefits from a private garden that is fully enclosed and thoughtfully planted, giving residents safe access to outdoor space. Paths are designed for easy walking and wheelchair use, with benches and seating areas placed at comfortable intervals. Residents can enjoy fresh air, notice the changing seasons and spend unhurried time outside without needing to leave the home.

The garden is used for both organised activities and informal moments. Gentle gardening tasks, such as watering pots or tending raised beds, can be offered to those who enjoy being hands‑on. Others prefer to simply sit with a drink, chat with visitors or watch birds and wildlife. On warmer days, the garden often becomes an extension of the lounges, with staff supporting residents to make the most of the weather.

Hair Salon

For many residents, a visit to the hair salon is one of the most enjoyable parts of the week. The salon at Greenways is laid out like a local high-street stylist, with comfortable chairs, good lighting and a calm atmosphere that puts people at ease. Regular appointments for washing, cutting and styling help residents feel smart and presentable, which often has a positive effect on mood and confidence.

These sessions also provide time for conversation and a sense of normality. The simple act of having hair done can prompt memories of past routines and special occasions, giving staff and residents an easy way to connect.
